The Benefits of Luxury Holidays in New Zealand by Lynn Fiebig
There is something quite magical about luxury holidays in New Zealand. Is it the fact that you need to travel by air to get there, creating a natural physical barrier between you and your busy life? Is it due to the winning combination of modern life amenities and world class accommodation, mixed with nearly untouched beauty right there at your doorstep? Or could it be the romantic view we’ve seen on films such as The Lord of the Rings. Whatever it is there are some factors to consider when selecting suitable places to stay.
The North and South Island are both incredibly different in feel and overall look but both feature world class accommodation that offer a respite from a busy life. As New Zealand is small geographically, it’s simple to be “away from it all” and close enough to airports and other forms of transport should you require it.
The country is well known for it’s outdoor pursuits and offers a broad range of sporting and adventurous activities in every season. Selecting a place that is close to ski fields, river or lake fishing, hiking and tramping, cycling tracks and golf is ideal if you like to unwind with a little exertion.
Experiencing some of the rural life the country is known for is also a wonderful reason to hide yourself away from the main centres. A good guesthouse or lodge will be able to help you arrange any number of tours and exploratory visits to working farms and other places of interest if you are that way inclined.
Luxury holidays in New Zealand do offer a world class standard of accommodation. Look for places that provide the small but essential luxuries such as goose down pillows, 1000 thread count sheets, open fireplaces with a roaring fire lit if you need it, a bathtub to soak in and plenty of privacy overseeing amazing panoramic views.
Add to that a sauna room, a gorgeous spa that you can look out at the mountain views from and a library you can hide yourself away in, and you’ve got a place offering both relaxation and respite.
If you are seeking luxury holidays in New Zealand you can be assured there are places offering the high level of service you not only are used to, but deserve. Combined with the Kiwi approach to making people feel comfortable in new surroundings, you’ve got a stay that will be your home away from home.
